Oh what a night...

Thursday night, Rylie started crying a few hours after we put her down. This isn't uncommon since she's been teething lately. I usually just feed her and lay her back down. I was getting ready to lay her down, and I noticed something dark on the sheet. I asked Tripp to cut the light on a take a look at it. He said, "Chelsey, it looks like blood." My heart sank. We immediately started inspecting Rylie for blood, and we found her right ear covered in it. We took her into the living room to clean it up and try to find out why it might be bleeding. (After she got a full belly, she wasn't crying anymore, so we weren't extremely panicked, but we were pretty worried.)
The bloody sheet
It was late, and we did flash the camera in her face. But here's the bloody wet wipe that I used to clean out her ear. We came to the conclusion that it was most likely a scratch. But we went to the doctor the next day anyway. Turns out it was a scratch. The doctor had to clean lots of dried blood out of her ear so that she could see her eardrum, and she said Rylie's eardrum looked fine. Yay!!! She couldn't see a scratch, but she said that must've been what caused all the blood. Needless to say, we trimmed her nails. Seems like we do that every 3 days! She certainly doesn't have her momma's nails.
Poor baby! She was dealing with so much 1. cold 2. bloody ear (which we thought could have possibly been a busted eardrum as a result of the cold.) 3. teething 4. her normal acropustulosis outbreak (see below) accompanied by fever. She gets it every week or so...hands, feet, arms, legs. She's just so pitiful!

For those of you who know me...health-wise, she's definitely my baby. We were hoping she'd inherit her daddy's genes. It doesn't look like that happened, though. However, we thank God daily for the blessing that He has provided us. We love this little munchkin more than we ever could've imagined possible, and we're thankful for every little part of her...even her rashes! We're just so incredibly thankful that she's as healthy as she is!
